  • REGISTRATION NOW OPEN for our QCESC Annual Banquet Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Putnam Museum & Science Center. We will hand out scholarships to 19 top-local high school students who are pursuing post-secondary STEM education and careers as well as professional awards for Engineer, Scientist, STEM Teacher and STEM Volunteer, and Society of the Year.  (Nominations due February 4th, see details below).  To register to display during Social Time or donate a Silent Auction, click here We will also hear from two very special guests: Dr. Jeff Weld: Executive Director for the Iowa Governor's STEM Council who is currently the Senior Policy Adviser for STEM Education at the Office of Science and Technology at The White House
Our Keynote Speaker, Tomas Gonzales-Torres, a Former NASA Flight Director and now Lecturer at the Iowa State University Department of 
 
Aerospace Engineering and Iowa Space Grant Consortium Assistant Director. Everyone including students  is cordially invited to attend this annual premier event to celebrate, network and showcase the great Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Professionals and Educators in the Quad Cities region.  The event is being held during Engineer Week (E-week).

  • ATTENTION PROFESSIONALS: Nominations are Due February 4th for our STEM Awards that go to Professionals whose exceptional achievements and outstanding contributions have made a lasting impact on technology, society, and their profession.   and Awards will be given out at our Annual Banquet on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Putnam Museum. NOMINATE SOMEONE NOW! The 2018 Awards are:
    • Junior Engineer of the Year (< 36 years old on 12/31/17)
    • Junior Scientist of the Year  (< 36 years old on 12/31/17)
    • Senior Engineer of the Year (36 Years or older on 12/31/17)
    • Senior Scientist of the Year (36 Years or older on 12/31/17)
    • Lifetime Achievement Award
    • STEM Teacher of the Year  
  • Registration Open for our 11th Annual Battle of the Bridge Contest Friday, March 2nd and Saturday, March 3rd at The Putnam Museum for ALL AGES, with 2-4 people per team Cost: $25.00 per team (teams can also pay for optional pre-order pizza and drinks)  
  • QCESC Monthly Meeting: NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, March 21st at 6:00 P.M. at Hamilton Tech College.  Everyone is welcome to attend!
