Dinner will raise funds for enrichment programs

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois (November 6, 2017) – Quad Citians can enjoy a selection of soups, bread and cookies and listen to holiday orchestra music at “Soup & Symphony,” Monday, December 11 at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 2324 18th Ave., Rock Island. The event is organized by the Rock Island High School Orchestra.

Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and the high school’s Rock Orchestra will perform from 7 to 8 p.m. A donation is requested.

Rock Orchestra is a group of 20 Rock Island High School students who perform a variety of music in a chamber setting (without a conductor) at venues throughout the Quad Cities.

Money raised will help provide enrichment opportunities for all orchestra students, including travel to regional performances and workshops with national musical artists.
