QUAD CITIES (February 12, 2019) — February is Library Lover's Month, and even with a short month, there's plenty to love! Show your support: Drop by our Downtown Library and fill out a heart to go on our Ground Floor "Library Lovers Month" display. Or check out something, whether it's book, audiobook, DVD, cake pan (we have some heart-shaped ones,) board game, culture pass, eBook, eAudiobook, streaming movies or music, downloadable music, research tools, and more. We love that!

Before we move on, a special announcement: All Rock Island Libraries will be closed Monday, February 18 so all staff can attend Staff In-Service Training. Library bookdrops and online services will be available. We reopen at normal hours on Tuesday, February 19.

For interesting things to do at your library this winter, pick up a print newsletter, and visit our online event calendar, Events with a red bar are designed for children; green for teens, blue for adults, and gold is for everyone.

Help Keep the Reader Alive and Free Since '93!

"We're the River Cities' Reader, and we've kept the Quad Cities' only independently owned newspaper alive and free since 1993.

So please help the Reader keep going with your one-time, monthly, or annual support. With your financial support the Reader can continue providing uncensored, non-scripted, and independent journalism alongside the Quad Cities' area's most comprehensive cultural coverage." - Todd McGreevy, Publisher
