In celebration of Older Americans Month (May) and Senior Corps Week (May 14th-20th), RSVP of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois is holding several recognition events for its members. RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) connects nearly 1000 volunteers (age 55+) in meaningful volunteer opportunities at 120 different non-profits and community agencies in Scott County, Iowa and Rock Island, Knox, and Warren Counties in Illinois.

These luncheons are to express gratitude to our members, who last year gave nearly 114,000 volunteer hours to our community, equivalent to over $2,500,000 of service.

RSVP is part of Senior Corps, which is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service. RSVP of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois is sponsored by the Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging.

We invite the media to help us honor our volunteers by covering these events.
