DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 21, 2019) — Safer Foundation is pleased to partner with United Way of Central Iowa to provide a unique, interactive learning opportunity that will allow participants to experience first-hand the challenges and barriers that citizens returning from incarceration face:

  • Obtaining Employment
  • Securing Housing
  • Navigating Transportation
  • Attaining Education & Training

This event, to be held on November 19, 9AM-12PM, at 605 Main St, 5th Floor — Department of Correctional Services in Davenport, will serve as an important, foundational experience for anyone wishing to engage in work advocating for justice-impacted individuals and communities, and it will serve as an opportunity for policymakers and advocates to share insights arising from the simulation experience and brainstorm the promotion of successful reentry skills and advocacy tools with justice-impacted individuals.
