SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (June 15, 2026) — The Scott Emergency Communications Center (SECC) experienced an intermittent disruption earlier today affecting some incoming 911 calls.

The issue began at approximately 4:40PM and lasted for about thirty minutes. During that time, some 911 calls were received successfully, while others appeared as abandoned and/or dropped calls.

Initial reports indicated the disruption may be part of a broader outage affecting multiple states, suggesting a possible nationwide issue. At this time, the exact cause remains under investigation and has not been determined.

SECC personnel are actively calling back all missed calls during this period to ensure we didn’t miss any citizens that may have been calling for assistance.

As SECC continues to review the situation, we appreciate your patience and more information will be shared when available.
