SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (April 13, 2026) — On April 13, 2026 at approximately 1213 hours, Scott Emergency Communications Center received a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 216th St and Great River Road, just north of LeClaire.

Great River Rd/HWY 67 is a two-lane north/south road in eastern Scott County.

The accident happened between LeClaire and Princeton Iowa at 216th St.

The following agencies responded to assist with this incident: The Scott County Sheriff's Office, LeClaire Police Department, LeClaire Fire Department, Bettendorf Fire Department, Scott County MEDIC Ambulance, Iowa Department of Transportation, and Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railroad.

Upon units’ arrival, they discovered two vehicles had collided and sustained heavy damage.

One vehicle involved was a 2018 Ford sport-utility vehicle driven by a male driver, and a 2020 Ford passenger car driven by a female driver.

Both drivers sustained serious injuries and were transported by MEDIC Ambulance to Genesis East.

The male driver was later flown to Iowa City for further treatment.

Due to the serious injuries sustained in the accident, the Scott County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Team responded and took over the investigation.

Great River Rd from Territorial Rd to 235th St was closed for approximately two-and-a-half hours to conduct the on-scene investigation.

No further information will be released at this time.
