Volunteers at our 13 food pantries in Scott County will offer fresh food to individuals and families in need this summer, thanks to a generous $18,000 grant from the Scott County Regional Authority.

Churches United of the Quad City Area offers free food to individuals and families at 25 neighborhood food pantries in our bi-state area. Dinner is served daily at one of our 3 hot meal sites. Women, with or without children, are sheltered at Winnie’s Place, the only emergency shelter in the Illinois Quad Cities for homeless women and children who may have survived domestic abuse.

Help Keep the Reader Alive and Free Since '93!

"We're the River Cities' Reader, and we've kept the Quad Cities' only independently owned newspaper alive and free since 1993.

So please help the Reader keep going with your one-time, monthly, or annual support. With your financial support the Reader can continue providing uncensored, non-scripted, and independent journalism alongside the Quad Cities' area's most comprehensive cultural coverage." - Todd McGreevy, Publisher
