As part of the African American History Month, join us at Main (321 Main Street) on Saturday, February 3 at 2:00pm for a screening of the movie “Fences” starring Denzel Washington and Viola Davis.

Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize winning play by August Wilson, the movie follows a former Negro-league baseball player as he fights to provide for the people he loves in 1950s era Pittsburgh.

Following the movie, Torria Norman, M.A. of Black Hawk College will lead a discussion of the issues raised in the film.

This event is FREE and open to the public. For more information, visit www.davenportlibrary.com or call the library at (563) 326-7832.
