Eugene and Julie Shocker, New Liberty, will be inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Iowa State Fair.  This honor recognizes volunteers or staff who have made a significant contribution to the Iowa 4-H program.  The Shockers have worked on the bucket calf project for many years.  They assist the members with record keeping and set up interviews and show opportunities for the youth.  For the Shockers, two main things happen with this project.  First, young 4-H members learn about records, animal care, talking about their projects and learning from others. Second, there are lots of smiles and enjoyment as the youth and their families participate at the fair.  They give many hours to having this project run smoothly.
