***UPDATE***

On April 11, 2018 the Scott County Sheriffs Office responded to a fatality accident at the intersection of 240th Avenue and 290th Street south of McCausland. The deceased driver of the vehicle has been identified as Chad Alan Soenksen, 42, of Clinton, Iowa. Soenksen was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic Ambulance.

It has been initially determined the vehicle was travelling northbound on 240th Avenue when it left the roadway and rolled in the east ditch on the curve just south of the this intersection. The Scott County Sheriffs Office Accident Investigation Response Team will continue the investigation into this incident.

On April 11, 2018 at approximately 03:27 hours the Scott County Sheriffs Office responded to a single vehicle accident located at the intersection of 240th Avenue and 290th Street south of McCausland. The single occupant driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on scene.

The release of the identity of the deceased driver is pending per notification of family members. An investigation of this incident will be completed by the Scott County Sheriffs Office Accident Investigation Response Team.

The Scott County Sheriffs Office was assisted by McCausland Fire Department and Medic Ambulance during this incident.
