The city is expect to see another 2 to 3 inches of snow in a short period of time tomorrow, Friday, December 29th and with that, Public Works is declaring a Snow Emergency for Friday’s event based on predicted conditions.

A Snow Emergency will go into effect beginning at Noon, Friday, December 29th through 8am, Saturday, December 30th for the next anticipated round of snow. Parking on Posted Snow Routes during a Snow Emergency is prohibited. Vehicles parked on Posted Snow Routes during an active Snow Emergency will be ticketed and towed. As an alternative, residents and visitors to the Downtown can park for free in any of the City’s three parking ramps beginning at Noon, Friday, December 29th through 8am, Saturday, December 30th.

Please park off-street when possible on all other roads. Parking off-street helps crews clear roads more safely and efficiently.

Slick spots may develop as these events pass through. Please increase your following distance and take your time when traveling today and tomorrow. Do not expect to drive as you would under normal weather conditions.
