This event will be one memorable evening for everyone who attends. There will be a $5.00-per-vehicle admission fee. The first fifty vehicles admitted will receive a free Voy 61 Drive In frisbee! Prior to the movie, we will have FREE activities for all to participate in — a bounce-house, face-painting, petting-zoo, train rides, and SO MUCH FUN!!! The movie for the evening will be the popular Sonic the Hedgehog 2, rated PG. The gates will open at 6PM and movie will start at approximately 9PM or dusk.

The Voy 61 Drive In Theatre is one of only four drive-ins still operating across the state of Iowa, and we are noted for our grass field. Patrons love bringing along a radio and lawn chair to watch the movie under the stars. The Voy 61 Drive In Theatre is one of the state and country’s last-remaining, and one of the longest-running outdoor drive-in movie theatres. We love providing first-run movies, as well as family and budget friendly entertainment. We pride ourselves on not only providing affordable quality entertainment with our state-of-the-art digital-projection system, but also providing a family-friendly environment with free train rides, swing-set, sand-box, basketball court, whiffle-ball diamond, tether-ball, and volleyball for our guests. Our concession stand also offers a large variety of treats and goodies, but, most importantly, good ole’ movie theatre popcorn. We also allow customers to bring their own food if they’d like and tailgate prior to the movie.

We would love to see you at this event to celebrate the endless family memories created under the stars at The Voy 61 Drive In Theatre, but also the 73 years’ worth of memories provided to moviegoers by The Voy 61 Drive In Theatre, get some shots of our memory making big screen view and atmosphere, as well as an interview.
