Five-hundred people — lucky winners — will enjoy sitting around the dinner table with Iowa farmers to ask food-questions like, How do eggs get their color, or, What are organic foods, GMO's, or antibiotics? Maybe you'll discover the secret to get pork-chops on a stick...?

Farm to Fair is a chance for five-hundred lucky fairgoers to enjoy a seat at a free dinner in the Pioneer Livestock Pavilion at the Iowa State Fair. Selected entries will get to sit with a farmer and enjoy a meal made from locally-sourced ingredients straight from the Farm to the Iowa State Fair. Farm to Fair is sponsored by the Iowa Pork Producers and Iowa Select Farms, Iowa Beef Council, Midwest Dairy, Iowa Corn, Iowa Egg Council, Iowa Soybean Association, and the Iowa Turkey Federation. Frequently ranked as one of the top events in the country, the Iowa State Fair is the single-largest event in the state of Iowa and one of the oldest and largest agricultural and industrial expositions in the country.
