Celebrate the 4th and help feed the hungry by bringing donations of nonperishable food items to the annual Bettendorf parade and festival. Volunteers and staff at Churches United of the Quad City Area will be accepting donations along the parade route and during the festival under our tent located at Spruce Hills Drive and Middle Road. All food collected will go directly to the 26 food pantries and 3 hot meal sites operated by Churches United in the Quad Cities.

From July 1st through the 31st, Thanksgiving in July food drive donation boxes will be placed at Fareway Food Stores in Davenport, Bettendorf and Moline; QC Core Chiropractic Wellness Center, Caddy’s Sports Bar and Grill, Dewey’s Café in the Library and K&K Hardware in Bettendorf. Nonperishable item needs include baby food; canned fruits and vegetables; canned meat such as tuna, Spam and chicken; peanut butter; rice pasta and pasta sauce; macaroni and cheese; juice boxes; boxed meals and soups. Paper goods – toilet paper and diapers – are also needed and gratefully accepted.
