DUBUQUE, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — University of Dubuque Heritage Center continues its seventh annual Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series with Tom Cotter at 7:30PM, Friday, January 31, in John and Alice Butler Hall.

Cotter has taken the comedy scene by storm since finishing as runner-up and becoming the breakout star on season seven of NBC’s America’s Got Talent. He was the first comedian to be a finalist on the show. In January 2019, Cotter was invited back to the AGT stage to perform against the best of the best AGT performers from previous years in America’s Got Talent: The Champions. Cotter’s other television and radio credits include The Tonight ShowLast Comic StandingComedy Central Presents ... Tom CotterThe Howard Stern Show, and The Late Late Show.

Cotter can be found headlining famous comedy clubs including The Comedy Cellar, The Improv, and Caroline’s on Broadway. He was a regular on Fox News Channel’s Red Eye and co-starred on an episode of CBS’s The Good Wife.

5th Fret, with musicians Bryce Reeg, Pat Kettmann, and Dayton Olson, will perform as the opening act. The band will also play after Tom Cotter on Knapp Stage in CyberCafè.

A free pre-show reception will be held 6-7:15PM in the Bisignano Art Gallery in conjunction with the “Plein Air Painters of Dubuque” exhibit. The exhibit will be open Monday, January 6, through Friday, January 31.

Tickets for Tom Cotter can be chosen as part of a flexible season ticket package or single tickets can be purchased 10AM-5PM, Monday through Friday, at the Farber Box Office, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque, 2255 Bennett Street; by phone at 563.585.SHOW; or online at www.dbq.edu/heritagecenter. The Farber Box Office will be closed Monday, December 23, through Friday, January 3. During the closure, online convenience fees are waived. Normal box office hours resume Monday, January 6.
