On Giving Tuesday (November 28), United Way of the Quad Cities Area collected monetary donations and items. Because of the generosity of the Quad Cities, items were distributed on Monday, December 11, 2017. “The holiday season can be a tough time for families who struggle to pay their bills. Quad Cities residents stepped up to the call to help provide basic household items, and we are thankful for the community’s support,” says Scott Crane, President of United Way of the Quad Cities Area. “Thousands of items will be delivered by volunteers to several organizations that work with struggling families.” Items such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and diapers will be distributed to: •    Bethany for Children & Families •    Café on Vine •    J.B. Young Opportunity Center •    Mid City High, Davenport •    Monroe Elementary School, Davenport •    One Eighty •    The Salvation Army •    YWCA of the Quad Cities About United Way of the Quad Cities Area: United Way fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in the Quad Cities. unitedwayqc.org
