DUBUQUE, IOWA (November 20, 2019) — University of Dubuque will hold an Advent Worship Service and Tree Lighting at 4PM, Wednesday, December 4, in Blades Chapel and on the Quad.

Open to the public, the event will begin with an Advent Worship Service in Blades Chapel. The service will feature the preaching of Mark Ward, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, as well as the musical talent of several students including the UD Chamber Singers.

A tree lighting and caroling will take place at 4:30PM on the Quad. Refreshments will be served in the lobby of Blades Chapel.

A tradition since 1997, the ceremony is a celebration where students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community gather to welcome the season of Advent and prepare for Christmas.
