Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport presents Joan Webster-Vore of Hudson, IA, Linda Sykes of Moline, IL and Dasha Denger of Davenport, IA for the months of May and June.
Joan Webster-Vore fascinates audiences with her 3-D installations of artifacts suspended in space. She manipulates light and shadow so your eyes “fill in the blank”. You might think you’re looking at a flock of birds, but it’s actually wing-like shapes on sticks.
Linda Sykes’ melancholy watercolor landscapes portray the simple beauty of prairies and delicate cloudscapes, with emphasis on the horizon.
Dasha Denger presents her landscape photographs. Her goal is to capture beautiful moments in nature and bring them to the forefront through her art and exhibitions. Art @ the Airport in The Quad City International airport gallery is easy to find-just across from the gift shop and restaurant and before the security check-point. It never closes and you’ll pay just a dollar for parking.
