• The vehicle involved in the December 12, 2017 House Fire / Fatality vehicle accident in Maysville Iowa was identified as a 2013 Ferrari Spider. The driver has been identified as Kelly Phillip Dewulf, 58 years old male from Wheatland, Iowa

On 12-12-17 the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and Maysville Fire responded to 9470 235th Street in Maysville in reference to an unknown explosion in the residence and fire. The house was on fire when units arrived and additional resources were requested.

The home was occupied at the time of the explosion and the resident was able to get out safely.

Maysville Fire, Donahue Fire, Eldridge Fire, Walcott Fire, Iowa State Patrol, the Scott County VIPs, and the Red Cross came to assist.

It was determined that a vehicle traveling North on Maysville Road had crashed into the front of the residence. Scott County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigators responded to the scene as well as the State Fire Marshall. The vehicle was occupied by only the driver who was deceased at the scene. The identity of the driver is not being released at this time pending family notification.

The accident is still under investigation by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal.
