DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 5, 2020) — The Davenport Public Library is excited to host three virtual visits on Zoom with award-winning and best-selling creator, LeUyen Pham on Saturday, June 13. Registration is required for each session. To register, please visit https://bit.ly/leuyen-event.

In her first presentation of the day at 10AM, LeUyen will speak with educators and caregivers about the importance of picture books and how to use her books in a classroom.

In her second presentation at 1PM, LeUyen will speak with tweens and teens about how she illustrates graphic novels and picture books and in particular how she created artwork for a graphic novel memoir. This is a must-see program for all artists and book lovers between the ages of 8-19!

In her final presentation of the day at 3PM, LeUyen will share her talent and love for picture books which will delight all ages of readers!

The Library we will choose a few to share with LeUyen during each of her presentations. Everyone who submits a question (including those that will not be used) will receive a signed bookplate that the Library will mail out later this summer.

LeUyen Pham has illustrated several graphic novels such as the memoir Real Friends by Shannon Hale & Dean Hale and many picture books and early chapter books including Vampirina BallerinaBear Came AlongPrincess in BlackGrace for President, and Alvin Ho.
