Please share the below information on one of most highly rated STEM area camps with students, parents, and anyone interested in attending or volunteering.
 
We are in need of 30+ more volunteers for supporting the 9th Annual Engineering Kids Camps on July 25-29. Previous volunteer experience is not required required with several different volunteer roles available.  There are also still openings for kids (Incoming 2nd-8th graders) to register & attend one of the five, one day camps. The Camps will be held at the Putnam Museum & Science Center supported by Iowa State University College of Engineering in partnership with the QCESC, John Deere, and the Putnam Museum & Science Center along with sponsors NDIA and Shive-Hattery.  
Volunteers and students can continue to pre-register for the camps until we reach capacity for each day. Financial assistance is available for students.

 DETAILS: July 24-28, Engineering Kids Camp @ Putnam Museum & Science Center Students and volunteers are being sought for the 9th annual QCESC Engineering Kids Camp.
 
Students and volunteers will have a fun day full of exciting, engaging experiences for young creators and innovators.  Campers will experience three hands on learning activities including LEGO Robotics along with the inspiring 3D movie, "Dream Big". The camper attendees will be creating solutions side by side with area engineers, technologist, college students, and other professionals.

Sept 9th - FIRST Tech Challenge Kickoff The 3rd Annual FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) kickoff will be hosted for Illinois and Iowa teams (students, coaches, and mentors) at the John Deere World Headquarters in Moline. 
 
The kickoff offers a local opportunity to see the game reveal live, network with other FTC teams including the World's Champion Combustible Lemons and strategize about the new season. Breakout sessions will be available to learn from Engineering & Technology Professionals, share key knowledge and experiences to help all teams to have a great season. Further information to be shared as it becomes available.
 
Sept. 8-9th - CornCon Cybersecurity Conference & Kids Hacker Camp
3rd Annual CornCon event will be held at St. Ambrose University with a professional development workshop, Cybersecurity conference, and Kids Hacker Camp (3-8th graders) along with teachers.  Grants are available for Kids Hacker Camp.  Link to further information and registration.
