MOLINE, Ill. – Wells4Wellness is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing safe, sanitary water wells to the people of Niger, Africa. Ten teams were challenged to cumulatively complete a virtual 6,000 mile walk for 60 days from the Quad Cities to Niger, Africa.

The Faith Lutheran Church of Moline, with Reverend Mark Gherke, and Parish Nurse Barb Marlin provided significant momentum to this event.

Throughout the QCA, you may see teams walking in their yellow shirts supporting this cause. This event provides the opportunity for participants to achieve both exercise and fundraising goals. They are taking pledges per mile for the walkathon event, and there is still time for you to contribute to this important cause.

The public can enjoy refreshments and congratulate our winning teams at the Award Ceremony on Sunday, May 21st from 6:00-7:00pm. This closing event will be at the German American Heritage Center, 712 W 2nd Street, Davenport, Iowa.

Awards will be given for the teams who walked the most miles and raised the most money. Further excitement will be generated by the unveiling of the 2017 Well4Wellness winning art exhibit.
