MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 22, 2020)  WQPT is presenting a special online preview screening of clips from The Age of Nature followed by a discussion with local experts in the area of nature conservation.

The event begins at 6:30PM on September 23 and is accessible by visiting wqpt.org/nature to register. Guest experts include: Kathy Wine from River Action; Brian Ritter from the Nahant Marsh Education Center; and Joel Vanderbush from Niabi Zoo.

The film explores humanity’s relationship with nature and wildlife, as scientists and conservationists from all over the world examine ways we can restore our planet. This documentary series asks whether newfound awareness of nature could bring about a new chapter in the human story.

WQPT has been reaching out into the community through a variety of online and drive movie theatre screenings during COVID. “These events have been very well received,” said WQPT Education Director Michael Carton. “It is our intent to continue to provide these opportunities to talk with area experts.”

WQPT is a public media service of Western Illinois University.
