These direct funds are fueling initiatives for food accessibility, environmental stewardship, education, and more.

Each year, the event showcases a stunning array of classic British cars, including elegant Jaguars, Land Rovers, MGs, Triumphs, Austin Healeys, and Mini Coopers, among others.

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 13, 2026) — The 2026 Stop the Scammers Tour — a joint initiative of the Iowa Department of Insurance and Financial Services, the Iowa Attorney General's Office, and AARP Iowa — officially concluded in June after hosting 20 free educational events across the state.

More than 1,400 Iowans attended the tour to learn how to recognize and avoid modern threats, including investment fraud, imposter scams, cryptocurrency fraud, and Medicare schemes.

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 10, 2026) — Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered flags in Iowa lowered to half-staff at sunrise on Friday, July 10, until sunset on Friday, July 17, in honor and remembrance of Iowa native, US Air Force Maj Brad Hovey.

Maj Hovey was a pilot with the 419th Flight Test Squadron at Edwards Air Force Base in California. He was killed during a B-52 flight test mission on June 15, 2026.
