KENOSHA, WISCONSIN (September 24, 2026) — Winter Roland from Moline, Illinois (61265), served as an orientation leader welcoming and supporting incoming students and their families as part of Carthage College's new student orientation.

Orientation leaders complete extensive training, lead student groups, assist with move-in and orientation programs, answer questions, and help new students build connections to successfully transition into the Carthage community.

GALESBURG, ILLINOIS (September 24, 2026) — Knox College officially began its 189th academic year on a traditionally fall day on Monday, September 14, with its annual Opening Convocation. Held on the South Lawn in front of Old Main, the event honored the accomplishments of students, faculty, and staff over the past year and welcomed the start of a new one. Grand Marshal Jennifer Templeton led the procession, followed by senior staff.

SCOTT COUNTY, IOWA (September 23, 2026) — On Tuesday, September 22, at approximately 6:26PM, the Scott Emergency Communication Center received a 911 call in reference to a motor vehicle accident in the area of S Cody Rd and W Canal Shore Dr in LeClaire, Iowa.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team was requested and responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
