Local Student Alexus VanQuakebeke of Coal Valley, Illinois, Named to the Graceland University Fall 2019 Honors List

LAMONI, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — The honor roll lists for Graceland University's 2019 fall term have been announced, and Alexus VanQuakebeke of Coal Valley, Illinois, has been named to the honors list.

Graceland University students with a GPA between 3.65 and 3.99 are named to the honors list.

Rivermont Collegiate Adds Second Campus in Clinton, Iowa

BETTENDORF, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — Rivermont Collegiate, a PS-12th grade-independent school, founded in 1884, adds a second campus in Clinton, Iowa. The new campus, which will be called Rivermont Collegiate Pangaea Campus, boasts the best STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) facilities in the state of Iowa. Ashford University invested more than thirty million dollars into the campus before liquidating the asset several years ago.

LAMONI, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — The honor roll lists for Graceland University's 2019 fall term have been announced, and Myrissa Liedtke of Coal Valley, Illinois, has been named to the president's list.

Graceland University students with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average are named to the president's list.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources released the draft 2018 303(d) Impaired Waters List for the state of Iowa on November 14. The list is comprised of lakes, wetlands, streams, and rivers that do not meet state water quality standards for designated uses.

River Bandits to Host Charity Hot Stove Dinner January 29

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 20, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits announced today they will be hosting their inaugural Charity Hot Stove Dinner on Wednesday, January 29, 5:30-8PM, at Modern Woodmen Park. The evening will consist of dinner and a silent auction and will feature an address from keynote speaker, Dayton Moore, General Manager for the Kansas City Royals. All proceeds will benefit the Genesis Philanthropy’s Family Connects program. Tickets are required.

Jasmine Harris of Davenport, Iowa, Named to USF Fall 2019 Dean's List

SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA (December 20, 2019) -- Jasmine Harris of Davenport, Iowa, was named to the University of Sioux Falls' Fall 2019 Dean's List. Harris is majoring in Sports Management.

Harris was among more than 550 students named to the Fall 2019 Dean's List. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale.

Free Public Performances of "The Enchanted Forest" on January 11

Each performance will be introduced by Miss Iowa 2019, Emily Tinsman, who will also lead a question and answer session with the performers following the afternoon performance.
