DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 17, 2019) — United Way of the Quad Cities is hosting its fall Day of Caring on September 19. The special event engages Quad Citizens in meaningful volunteer projects across the region to better our community. Projects include reading with students at elementary schools, restoration of public spaces, food preparation, beautification projects and much more.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (September 16, 2019) — The Second Amendment and the right to bear arms will be discussed by three Monmouth College political science professors to commemorate this year's Constitution Day.

Titled "The 'State' of the 2nd Amendment: Guns, Federalism, and the Constitution," the discussion will be held at 7PM, September 17, in the Morgan Room of Poling Hall. It is free and open to the public.

This weekend, I attended what some call Iowa’s own Super Bowl, the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game.
