Limousin Cattle Champions Named at Iowa State Fair

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 27, 2019) — Anderson Limousin of Garner was awarded Champion Iowa Female. Jim and Becky Venner of Breda were awarded Champion Iowa Bull.

Anderson Limousin of Garner took home Grand Champion Limousin Female and Kennedy Crist of Tipton exhibited the Reserve Champion Limousin Female.

Callahan Brothers of Centerview, Missouri, were awarded Grand Champion Bull and Jim and Becky Venner of Breda were awarded Reserve Champion Bull.

Dairy Special Awards Given in Iowa State Fair Dairy Show

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 27, 2019) — Dairies competed for special awards among the 2019 Iowa State Fair Dairy Cattle shows.

Supreme Champion Cow was awarded to Breezy Dairy of Epworth, and Supreme Champion Heifer was awarded to HB Holsteins of Marengo.

Hy-Vee Pharmacies Stocked with Flu Vaccine for the 2019-2020 Season

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (August 27, 2018) — Hy-Vee Inc announced today that the flu vaccine is available at its more than 270 Hy-Vee Pharmacy locations throughout its eight-state region without an appointment or prescription. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends people 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each year to prevent getting and spreading the flu virus.
