MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 10, 2020) — Nothing about Spring, 2020 has been usual for graduating seniors and college students. So, when 29 scholarship recipients were asked to participate in a Zoom conference call today, they didn’t know what to expect. However, excited cheers and applause broke out as the students found out during the call that the celebration included a $1,000 scholarship award from The Moline Foundation.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (June 5, 2020) — Due to the uncertainty of recognition for high-school graduating seniors this year, The Moline Foundation created additional opportunities to acknowledge 29 scholars who received funding for further education. Thirty-four funds through their donors contributed $52,700 this year to further the educational dreams of local students.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (April 9, 2020) — To meet the needs of people living in western Illinois dealing with the COVID-19 crisis, four local funders have announced a Rapid Response Fund with immediate assistance of $325,000 distributed this week.

EAST MOLINE, ILLINOIS (October 19, 2019) — With the aid of many generous donors throughout the area, The East Moline Community Fund Advisory Council recently met to review and approve funding for 15 non-profit organizations in the community for 2019. The following grants were approved that feed the hungry, educate teens, help with community projects, improve the homes of seniors and those in need, aid troubled teens, and help educate and increase literacy.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 26, 2019) — The Adrianne Reynolds Fund honors the memory of an East Moline teenager whose life tragically ended in 2005. Adrianne began attending the Black Hawk College Outreach Center to earn her GED in November 2004. She was soon after killed in an act of violence by fellow teens in January 2005. Many generous donors locally and nationally contributed to the Adrianne Reynolds Fund, established by her parents, Tony and Joann Reynolds who live in East Moline.

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (August 22, 2019) — Over the past 16 years, Midwest Hope and Healing has offered support and comfort to over 3,800 breast-cancer patients through the distribution of their signature healing baskets. Generous donors made this possible by contributing funds to Midwest Hope and Healing, which allowed for the healing baskets to be distributed at no cost for the newly-diagnosed.
