DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 28, 2019) — The Flood Assistance Center event scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, 2019. at the former Office Max building near Northpark Mall is being postponed due to rising flood-waters and response needed by participating agencies. This event will be rescheduled at a later date.

CONWAY, SOUTH CAROLINA (May 28, 2019) — More than 2,000 Coastal Carolina University students were named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2019 semester. That's nearly 20 percent of the student body with a grade-point-average between 3.5-3.99 for the spring semester.

WASHINGTON DC (May 28, 2019) — Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Dave Loebsack today sent letters to the investment firms behind some of the country's largest manufactured housing communities (MHC) to request information about their use of predatory practices to boost profits in the communities they own. Sen Warren and Rep Loebsack sent letters to Stockbridge and Havenport Capital, following recent reports highlighting the abusive practices of private investment firms in MHCs.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 28, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits' scheduled game against the Beloit Snappers on Tuesday night has been postponed because of heavy rain and severe weather. The team will make up the game as part of a double-header on Wednesday beginning at 5:35PM.

The Wednesday double-header will feature two games scheduled for seven innings each. There will be approximately 30 minutes in between the two games. 

AMES, IOWA (May 28, 2019) — Bradley Melvin, a microbiology major from Le Claire, has been elected academic chair of the Iowa State University Pre-Medical Club for the 2019-20 academic year.

The Iowa State University Pre-Medical Club helps prepares students for medical school and answers questions about pathways to medical school and the medical profession.
