SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS (May 17, 2019) — A Flood Assistance Center, also referred to as a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC), will open in Rock Island County next week to help residents get back on their feet following recent historic floods. The Flood Assistance Center is a one-stop-shop for flood victims to access disaster-related relief-services and information. The Flood Assistance Center brings together representatives from local and state agencies and essential support organizations.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 17, 2019) — The Scott County Emergency Management Agency, in partnership with the local coalition Quad Cities Community Organizations Active in Disaster, will be opening the Scott County Flood Assistance Center to offer relief and recovery resources to those impacted by recent flooding.

PEORIA, ILLINOIS (May 17, 2019) — A pitcher’s duel turned one-sided in a hurry on Friday night at Dozer Park where the Peoria Chiefs evened their series against the Quad Cities River Bandits with a convincing 8-0 victory. The game was scoreless entering the bottom of the sixth inning, but Peoria put up eight runs in the frame to take control.

The requirements for the Dean's List are a 3.3 or higher grade-point average; at least 12 graded-hours for the semester; and no "D," "F," or "Incomplete" grades for the semester. DES MOINES, IOWA (May 16, 2019) — Attorney General Tom Miller joined four other states Thursday in suing Purdue Pharma and its former president and board chairman, Richard Sackler, alleging that the drug company engaged in unfair, deceptive, and unlawful practices in the marketing of OxyContin, helping fuel the nation’s opioid crisis.

WASHINGTON DC (May 16, 2019) — On Friday, May 17, Senator Charles "Chuck" Grassley of Iowa will be in Davenport and Buffalo for meetings with community leaders, emergency managers, small business owners, and other Iowans affected by flooding in the region. The topic of the meetings will be the devastating floods impacting eastern Iowa.
