Active weather has changed projected and actual river levels.  The Mississippi is now forecast to crest at 15.9 FT on Tuesday, October 9.  River levels are expected to hover between 15 and 15.9 FT before beginning to fall below 15 FT late next week.

The current river level is 15.12 FT. 

Based on the current and projected river levels, the following flood impacts and measures have been or will occur in the coming days.

Roads

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds ordered all flags in Iowa to fly at half-staff from sunrise on Oct. 6 to sunset on Oct. 7, 2018. Flags will fly at half-staff Saturday, Oct. 6, to honor a fallen soldier and Sunday, Oct. 7, for the Fallen Firefighters Memorial service.
