Neighborhood meeting for the Rockingham Road Corridor Zoning Enhancements

Community Planning staff have asked me to remind you about the neighborhood meeting for the Rockingham Road Corridor Zoning Enhancements.  It is set for 6PM at the Roosevelt Community Center, tomorrow, Thursday, March 15.  Property owners, neighbors and other stakeholders are invited to attend a discussion of zoning regulations designed to enhance the Rockingham Road corridor.

Imagination Station is coming Saturday

MOLINE, IL – WQPT, Quad Cities PBS is hosting Imagination Station on March 17. 

Tickets “sold out” in 24 hours with 4,000 tickets distributed. The free family friendly event takes place on the campus of Western Illinois University-Quad Cities.

Prescribed burn planned at Illiniwek Forest Preserve today, March 14 at 1 p.m.

Woodlands, wetlands and prairies native to the Midwest depend on periodic prescribed fires for long-term survival. Fire helps to rejuvenate growth of native grasses and flowers, and controls the growth of unwanted invasive plant species. 

After inspecting the site, acquiring permits and reviewing safety precautions with all involved, Illiniwek Forest Preserve will conduct multiple burns on the forest preserve property.

The Moline Foundation Announces New Board Member

Moline, Illinois - The Moline Foundation announces the appointment of a new member to its Board of Directors.
Debi Becht, Moline, will serve a five-year term as a member of The Moline Foundation Board of Directors.
A Nurse Practitioner, Becht has lived in Moline for nearly 40 years. She is also the co-founder of the Good Samaritan Free Clinic, a non-profit health clinic formerly operated in Moline and East Moline.
