Quad City Arts is pleased to announce Arts Dollar$ grants for the 2018 cycle. Applications are welcome from individual artists, K-12 schools, and non-profit organizations partnering with artists. All art forms are eligible. In 2018, Quad City Arts will grant more than $90,000 to local artists and organizations. The application process is competitive, and applicants are encouraged to apply before the deadline.

The Endowment Committee of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline has approved a funding request for $2,000 toward shelter repairs at Winnie’s Place, the only emergency shelter in the Illinois Quad Cities for women, with or without children, who are homeless and/or survivors of domestic abuse. In addition to shelter, food, and basic needs, Winnie’s Place offers counseling, advocacy, and education in life skills to help these women and their families build toward a more successful future.

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois property owners in 18 disaster declared counties may be eligible to claim an income tax credit worth up to $750 due to flooding in 2017.  The Illinois Department of Revenue has released an Informational Bulletin on their website for individuals and businesses who wish to determine their eligibility for the newly enacted Natural Disaster Income Tax Credit.

WHEATON, IL (12/14/2017)-- Wheaton College student Lindsay Danielson recently performed in "Messiah, Prince of Peace," the 2017 Christmas Festival presented by the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. Danielson, of Bettendorf, Iowa, sang alto with Concert Choir.
