Springfield (Oct. 25, 2017) – Governor Bruce Rauner issued the following statement following General Assembly action on Senate Bill 1905:

“The people of Illinois scored a victory today. The House of Representatives rejected efforts to close a door to job opportunity here.

CLINTON, Iowa – Family Resources will hold an open house 1:30-3 p.m. Thursday, November 2 to celebrate the new Clinton office at 240 N. Bluff Boulevard. The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce will perform a ribbon cutting at 1:30 p.m. The public is invited to speak with staff and learn more about Family Resources.

The Scott County Board of Supervisors will be conducting a ribbon cutting ceremony to recognize the completion of the Scott County Juvenile Diversion Programs space. The ceremony will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at 500 W 4th Street, the east side of the building. Following the ribbon cutting Juvenile Detention and Diversion Program Staff will lead a tour of the new space.

Jerry Schroeder, Program Specialist with the Alzheimer’s Association will present “The Basics of Alzheimer’s and Dementia: an Optimistic View” at Eastern on Wednesday, November 15 at 6:00pm. The program will provide an overview of Alzheimer’s disease, how it compares to normal aging, and other forms of dementia. He will discuss the warning signs, explain what to do if you see them and will share his optimism about the hope of effective treatments on the horizon.
