DAVENPORT, Iowa – July 24, 2016 – Every shot of the 23rd annual Genesis Foundation Pro-Am Challenge will have an impact on the future of health services in the region.

Proceeds from the annual event on Monday, Aug. 28 will help support nursing education and healthcare needs in the communities served by Genesis. Among those local needs is Flu-Free Quad Cities, the free seasonal influenza vaccination program in the region.

The Governor’s Volunteer Award program honors dedicated people across the state who volunteer their time and talent to help an agency or organization.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (July 24, 2017) – Mount Mercy University was ranked highest among all Iowa colleges on MONEY magazine’s 2017 Best Colleges For Your Money list. The annual list puts Mount Mercy at No. 87 in the nation among 711 schools, 50 spots higher than in 2016.

Rankings are based on 27 factors in three equally-weighted categories: educational quality, affordability, and alumni success. Mount Mercy also stood out in MONEY’s rankings for overall quality.

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation Saturday for Bremer, Buchanan, Clinton and Johnson counties in response to severe storms, heavy rains and flash flooding on July 21-22.

The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of this severe weather.

The proclamation also activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Program for qualifying residents of the four counties.
