SPRINGFIELD – Governor Bruce Rauner today released the following statement regarding the General Assembly’s budget negotiations:

“If the legislature fails to send a balanced budget package to my desk by Friday, we will have no choice but to keep them in session until they get the job done.”

Wednesday, June 28, 2017  (WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Gov. Kim Reynolds met with several members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet Wednesday in Washington, D.C., to discuss issues important to Iowans.

She met with U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Rick Perry. The two talked about the importance of a diversified energy portfolio. Iowa has used its diversified energy portfolio to become a leader in biofuels and wind energy generation.
