WASHINGTON, D.C., June 19, 2017 -- USDA and partners committed $20 million in 21st Century Conservation Service Corps partnership agreements to provide 4,000 work opportunities for youth, young adults and veterans up to 35 years old, a move that will help the U.S. Forest Service accomplish mission-critical infrastructure and landscape restoration projects on the ground. The U.S. Forest Service is one of seventeen USDA Agencies.

Madison, WI - A new type of insurance is available in Iowa these days. If someone becomes laid off or will be disabled and unable to work for more than 30 days, it pays something called a lump sum benefit-all the money gets paid as soon as a claim is approved. To assist residents with cleanup efforts following last week's storm, the City is waiving the yard waste sticker requirement for all yard wastes placed for collection the week of June 19th through June 23rd. Yard wastes must still be placed in a Kraft-ply bag for collection.
