SAVANNAH, GA, June 20, 2017 – Canadian Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Lawrence MacAulay; Mexican Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food Jose Calzada; and United States Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue issued the following statement at the conclusion of their first trilateral meetings in Savannah, GA, June 19-20, 2017.

Scott County Regional Authority awarded the Scott County Sheriff’s Office $10,200 in the fall of 2016 to upgrade their current light trailer with 21st Century technology. This funding enabled the Sheriff’s Office to replace an outdated lighting system with new technology and provide more lighting.

Churches United of the Quad City Area gratefully accepts a $15,000 grant award from the Doris & Victor Day Foundation.

This grant award will be used specifically to purchase supplies for 26 food pantries and three meal sites and fund direct services at Winnie’s Place, our emergency shelter for women, without or without children, who are homeless and/or survivors of domestic violence.
