PELLA, IA (06/20/2017)-- Central College seniors graduated May 13, with 238 students participating in commencement. Central's class of 2017 included students from 15 states, including Florida, California, Oregon, Alabama, Arizona, Washington, Massachusetts, Colorado and Texas, as well as one foreign country - Kosovo.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 20, 2017) - Courtney Schindler from Davenport (52807) graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis in May. Courtney was a Professional Pharmacy major.

Scott County Regional Authority awarded the Scott County Sheriff’s Office $10,200 in the fall of 2016 to upgrade their current light trailer with 21st Century technology. This funding enabled the Sheriff’s Office to replace an outdated lighting system with new technology and provide more lighting.

On eve of special session, speech to highlight need for unity on compromise balanced budget plan 

 

SPRINGFIELD – Governor Rauner will deliver a live address to the people of Illinois tomorrow night from the Old State Capitol in Springfield. The address will focus on unity and passing a balanced budget to put Illinois on a path to a brighter future.

Churches United of the Quad City Area gratefully accepts a $15,000 grant award from the Doris & Victor Day Foundation.

This grant award will be used specifically to purchase supplies for 26 food pantries and three meal sites and fund direct services at Winnie’s Place, our emergency shelter for women, without or without children, who are homeless and/or survivors of domestic violence.
