(DES MOINES) – Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey today encouraged Iowans to nominate farmers who have taken voluntary actions to improve or protect the environment and natural resources of our state for the Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Award.

Due to an unexpected conflict, soprano Heidi Melton is unable to join the Quad City Symphony Orchestra for their fifth Masterworks concert, River of Life on March 4 & 5. The QCSO is pleased to announce that soprano Erin Wall will join the orchestra to perform the same repertoire.

Quad Cities Restaurant Week starts Monday, February 27th.

The 32nd Annual Quad City Youth Conference welcomes Cambridge High School and it’s presentation of “Fallen,” a play based on a young woman who takes her own life and the reactions of students, friends, family, and teachers in the aftermath. The play captures the attention of audience members as they find themselves either relating to the young woman who takes her life, to the students who bullied her, or possibly to the parents or teachers in her life.
