Scott County Audit Report Released

Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP has released an audit report on Scott County, Iowa. The County had local tax revenue of $265,610,396 for the year ended June 30, 2016, which included $23,169,606 in tax credits from the state. The County forwarded $242,440,790 of the local tax revenue to the townships, school districts, cities and other taxing bodies in the County.

Showboat to hold auditions January 28-29

Clinton Area Showboat Theatre is excited to announce local auditions for the 2017 "Hooray for Hollywood" Season, January 28 & 29th.  Actors are asked to prepare 16 bars from a musical theatre song, a second 16 bar cut may be requested.  Please bring sheet music in the correct key, an accompanist will be provided.  Auditions will be from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, January 28 and 9am to 11am on Sunday, January 29th.  Some actors may be asked to return for dance callbacks at 5pm on 1/28 and 11a

New system for Davenport parking ramps starting Jan. 9, 2017

The City of Davenport will be changing the parking system in its downtown ramps effective January 9, 2017. There will be no more attendants, gates and cash payments. You will use your license plate number and credit cards to pay to park. I am sure visitors will have lots of questions so more information is available at cityofdavenportiowa.com to get the information you will need to share, especially at Union Station.

Benefit for Rick Bennett, January 14th from 1pm-5pm

Come join us for music and show your support for Rick Bennett on January 14th at Grace United Methodist Church, 2651 Telegraph Rd, Davenport.

Rick has been diagnosed with squamous cell carinoma. It's a form of skin cancer which has started in the base of his tongue. It is stage 4; he is undergoing 7 weeks of radisation and chemo.

All proceeds will go to the family for medical expenses.
