DES MOINES, IOWA (October 15, 2026) — The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) Board of Directors has awarded $767,653 to eight nonprofit providers to help sustain existing permanent supportive housing programs serving more than 400 households across seven Iowa counties. The awards help providers cover operating costs and maintain housing for individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness and have complex health and other support needs.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 15, 2026) — On September 26, 2026, at approximately 9:12PM, the Davenport Police, Fire Department, and Medic personnel responded to a report of a six-month-old child who was not breathing in the 3500 block of Marquette Street.

Upon arrival, medical assistance was provided to the child, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further treatment by Medics EMS.
