HARROGATE, TENNESSEE (January 17, 2024) — Jamyah Winter, of Milan, Illinois (61264), was named to the Lincoln Memorial University Dean's List for the Fall 2023 semester. To be placed on the Dean's List the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 or higher grade-point average for the semester. A total of 688 students were recognized for outstanding academic performance.

ANGOLA, INDIANA (January 17, 2024) — Muhammad Osama Mushtaq of Davenport completed requirements for a degree from Trine University at the end of the Spring 2023 semester.

Mushtaq earned a degree in Master of Science in Business Analytics at Trine.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (January 17, 2024) — Dr Gauri A Pitale, associate dean of students for diversity, equity and inclusion at Bridgewater College, in Bridgewater, Virginia, has been selected as Augustana College’s next Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Dr Pitale will join the college February 29. She succeeds Dr Lisa Durant-Jones, who has served as interim vice president since July 31.

BETTENDORF, IOWA (January 16, 2024) — We need your help! You can volunteer for the FIRST Tech Challenge student robotics competitions in West Burlington on January 20.

FIRST Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and code robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming.
