DES MOINES, IOWA (May 24, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds, Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg, and the Iowa Economic Development Authority have announced that three $50,000 grants have been awarded to Calhoun County Public Health, Cass County Board of Health, and Van Buren County Hospital to test an innovative program aimed at decreasing emergency-response times in rural Iowa. The total grant-funding of $150,000 was made available through the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa Initiative.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (May 24, 2023) — Together with the City of Rock Island, Augustana College has broken ground on a tennis complex at Lincoln Park Wednesday, May 23. College and city administrators dug in with ceremonial shovels to kick off the project that is slated to open for college and community in the fall of 2023.

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA (May 23, 2023) — Madison Temple of Bettendorf, Iowa, recently was awarded a Study Abroad Grant worth $1,000 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi — the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
