DES MOINES, IOWA (April 5, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced that $8.3 million in matching grants have been awarded to assist five companies in upgrading water infrastructure at Iowa manufacturing and industrial facilities in Boone, Davenport, Dubuque, and Fort Dodge. The awards were made through Iowa’s Water Infrastructure Fund (WIF).

DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 5, 2023) — Hy-Vee Inc is partnering with River Bend Food Bank on April 6 to distribute 250 Hormel Cure 81® Hams for those in need.

Staff from River Bend Food Bank and Quad Cities Hy-Vee stores will assist in handing out the hams at South Park Mall (across from Von Maur) in Moline, beginning at 9AM, and will continue until all hams are distributed.

The governor's proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of this severe weather in Appanoose, Davis, Iowa, Jackson, Lucas, and Monroe counties.

The event will feature a Backyard BBQ Competition, with proceeds benefiting local food pantries. Amateur grill-masters from across Iowa are invited to showcase their skills cooking high-quality Iowa pork. More than $10,000 in cash prizes are available.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (April 4, 2023) — The University of Dubuque and Northeast Iowa School of Music will host Treble Fest, 2-5PM, Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2155 University Avenue. The new music festival will conclude with a free public concert presentation at 4PM with Heartland Harmony, University of Dubuque Treble Singers, and collaborative performances featuring Treble Fest participants singing in massed chorus with both choral groups.
