DUBUQUE, IOWA (April 4, 2023) — The University of Dubuque and Northeast Iowa School of Music will host Treble Fest, 2-5PM, Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2155 University Avenue. The new music festival will conclude with a free public concert presentation at 4PM with Heartland Harmony, University of Dubuque Treble Singers, and collaborative performances featuring Treble Fest participants singing in massed chorus with both choral groups.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 4, 2023) — The Iowa Credit Union Foundation (ICUF) released a new report titled “The Economic Realities of Communities of Color in Iowa” to leverage data and identify barriers to financial well-being within communities across the state. OTTUMWA, IOWA (April 4, 2023) — Main Street Ottumwa is pleased to be accepting applications for the Hometown Heroes banner program which recognizes and honors those who are serving or have served in the United States Armed forces. The program is intended to show appreciation for veterans and military personnel and their families who have ties to the Ottumwa area. Banners will display a photo of the service person as well as their name, branch, and dates of military service.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 4, 2023) — Attorney General Brenna Bird joined 21 other states in a letter opposing the Biden Administration’s Department of Energy’s new regulations, which would prohibit gas stoves that do not meet the new environmental standards. This would ban the sales of over half of all currently available gas stoves.
