PELLA, IOWA (February 7, 2023) — Central College President Mark Putnam has announced the appointment of Karmen Ten Napel as vice president for student development and dean of students. Ten Napel has served as the dean of students at Morningside University in Sioux City since 2014 and as associate vice president for student life and Title IX coordinator since 2019. She begins her duties at Central Thursday, June 1.

MADISON, WISCONSIN (February 7, 2023) — Ashley Villasenor of Bettendorf, Iowa, has earned Semester Honors for the Fall 2022 semester at Edgewood College. Fulltime students who achieve a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester are eligible for this honor.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (February 7, 2023) — Come learn about Quad City civil-rights activists. Inspired by their participation in the historic 1963 March on Washington Quad City activists share their stories through a screening of the new documentary film I Am the Future: Standing on the Shoulders of the Past. MADISON, WISCONSIN (February 7, 2023) — Ashley Villasenor of Bettendorf, Iowa, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2022 semester at Edgewood College.

Fulltime undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students who earn a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher are eligible for the Dean's List after completing 24 credit hours of study at Edgewood College.
