PELLA, IOWA (September 20, 2024) The Geisler-Penquite Foundation awards more than $9 million to Central College, the largest single gift to Central in the college's history.

PELLA, IOWA (July 1, 2024) — Central College received a gold award in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education's Circle of Excellence Awards. The award-winning entry was "Forever Dutch Lager" in the marketing/marketing initiatives for a staff of ten to 25 category.

PELLA, IOWA (May 30, 2024) — Central College recognized 232 graduates during Commencement 2024 on Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium on the Central campus. Recognized were:

Clayton Hunn, Muscatine, earned a Bachelor's degree in August 2023 majoring in Music.

Lauren Wall, Donahue, earned a Bachelor's degree, cum laude, in December 2023 majoring in Biology.

PELLA, IOWA (May 22, 2024) — More than 390 students were named to the Central College Dean's List for Spring 2024.

The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking twelve or more graded credit hours for the semester.

PELLA, IOWA (April 29, 2024) — Central College announces the creation of a full-tuition scholarship in the name of Shirley and Dirk Van Zante, a 1952 graduate.

PELLA, IOWA (April 2, 2024) — Central College Trustee Harry Smith, a Class of 1973 graduate, will join Central as the newest executive-in-residence. Smith, a multi-Emmy award-winning reporter, announced on air he'll be moving on to his alma mater after spending the past twelve years on NBC News. Smith plans to be on campus during the Fall 2024 semester working with students and teaching the course, Commencement: The Beginning.

PELLA, IOWA (March 5, 2024) — Central College supports off-campus programs around the world, and each academic major allows space for students to study abroad while earning credit toward a major, minor, or core-curriculum requirements.

Hailey Glover of Eldridge (52748) is studying this semester at University of Roehampton in London, England. Glover is a Philosophy major with the Class of 2026.

PELLA, IOWA (February 29, 2024) — A pillar of a Central College education is community service and civic engagement. In Spring 2024, 115 Central students are participating in a service-learning opportunity to build civic engagement.

Peyton Bytnar of Bettendorf, Iowa (52722), is helping Rock Steady Boxing with a Disability in America project, in Pella, Iowa. Bytnar is a member of the Central Class of 2024.
