PELLA, IOWA (10/31/2022) — Central College student Bria Holthe of Muscatine, Iowa, is studying at the University of Roehampton in London, UK, in the fall semester. Holthe is a Environmental and Sustainability major in the Class of 2023. Central College supports off-campus programs around the world, and each academic major allows space for students to study abroad while earning credit toward a major, minor, or core-curriculum requirements.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 31, 2022) — In conjunction with the local Fire Chiefs, the Scott County Emergency Management Agency wanted to distribute a media release to inform the community members that a Burn Ban is still in effect for Scott County, Iowa. It has been determined that open burning constitutes a danger to life and property in Scott County, Iowa. Therefore, pursuant to Iowa Code 100.40(1), a Burn Ban is in effect as of 10/21/2022 at 09:00 am for all of Scott County, Iowa.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (October 28, 2022) — Monmouth College already provides its educational-studies majors with personalized support to help them grow and develop into teachers who are effective classroom leaders.

The addition of two new licensure programs — one in health education and one in science education — will make the College's teacher preparation even more distinctive. Both programs were recently approved by the Illinois State Board of Education.
