Davenport Schools Students Can Eat for Free in Coming School Year

DAVENPORT, IOWA (August 4, 2021) — All Davenport Community School District (DCSD) students will get free breakfast and lunch during the 2021-2022 school year, as part of the Seamless Summer Option funded by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) that will allow all students to eat for free every day, regardless of income.

Gov Kim Reynolds Sets Date for Iowa House District 37 Special Election

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 3, 2021) — Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a proclamation to officially set a special election date in Iowa House District 37 for Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Iowa law requires a special election to be called within five days following a vacancy in the Iowa legislature.

The proclamation follows the passing of Iowa House of Representative John Landon.
